Flashing Nylon Ink

When screen printing 100% nylon uniforms, turning the temperature down on the flash unit is strongly recommended. Due to possible shrinking problems, excessive heat from the flash unit can create problems even before the uniform gets into the conveyor dryer. It is also important to flash only as long as absolutely necessary on 100% nylon. Nylon ink manufactured by One Stroke Inks will typically have quick fast flash time which reduces the risk of shrinking and distortion when the flash unit is used properly. The only exception is with the Nylostretch Series inks. These inks are specially formulated to have excellent stretchability and they will not flash very quickly. It is still important to flash only as long as necessary but keep in mind it will take a few seconds longer than the standard nylon ink.
